Fundraising ideas

Fundraise for us!

Durham Christian Partnership relies on the support and generosity of the public, our members and supporters in generating funds to help the us provide ongoing support to those who need it most.
As an individual, as a group or as part of a network, you can make a huge difference to our work by choosing to support DCP in your workplace, school, college, community group or as an individual. Here are some ideas to get you started!
Previous fundraising events have included the Durham City 5k, Three Peaks Challenge and Coast to Coast cycle ride. But you don’t have to go that distance to fundraise for us! Here are some ideas that everyone can get involved with:

Pledge your birthday (or Christmas)!

All you have to do is pledge to make your birthday (or Christmas) extra special by asking loved ones to donate whatever they can to our projects rather than buying you cards and gifts. Or instead of buying Christmas cards this year, why not do something different (and help save the environment) by donating to us instead!

Bake saleLine of cupcakes with blue icing

Get baking to help raise funds and awareness for our projects. A cake sale is the perfect way to fundraise anytime, anywhere (and you get to eat cake!). By selling just a few baked goods you are making a huge difference to people’s lives and it’s a great way to get friends, family, work colleagues and the community involved.

Quiz night

Contestants are you ready? Have fun and challenge yourself all whilst raising funds for DCP. You could hold your quiz night at home or work, or even speak to your local pub to see if they would host it. Charge an entry fee or run a raffle (or even combine with your bake sale!) to raise even more funds.

The money you raise helps to fund our vital work, making positive differences to the lives of people most in need. The more you donate, the closer we get to a fairer society and growing communities.

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
